Our Story

Welcome to Mama's Irish Breads!

Being only second-generation Irish-American, I grew up with rich Irish traditions. My family comes from County Down and County Clare, Ireland.  I was a championship Irish dancer and have so many beautiful memories of dancing at St. Patrick’s Day festivities, at family parties and weddings, and at the Feis’.  The sounds of fiddles, whistles, drums, and hard shoes hitting the wooden floor still ring in my ears.  As do the sounds of songs being sung while we listened respectfully and then cheering them all equally ~ for it takes courage to let your voice be heard. The laughter and quick wit of my family are part of my soul, as are the deep passions of carrying our culture forward. The love of song, dance, humor, and, of course, BREAD run deep. When this adventure started, it was a way to honor my Mother, who we lost when I was 15 years old. Our goal is to spread love and comfort through our breads, scones, and mixes.  We have also added some gift items and thrown in some Irish humor along the way!  Enjoy!
